Strain Description

After winning 25+ International awards, it is fair to say that Barbara Bud is a superstar, known best for her peach terp profile and the quantity and quality and quantity of hash she produces.

The Barb, as we lovingly call her, is a Sativa leaning hybrid. The Shishkaberry mother was a cut from London, Ontario, famous for its flavour and smell, collected by Mat in the 1990s. The male was GGF’s own Afghani #1, an outstanding pure Indica with an ideal growth structure, fabulous flowers and world class hash production.

Barbara Bud is easy to grow and finishes quickly with beautiful emerald green leaves and fat calyxes. Although Barb has above average yields, it’s her trichome production that is really a sight to behold. We’re talking extreme trichome coverage – more than double the hash production of most cultivars.

Barb has a fruity terp profile and is the original peach terp.

She was named after well-known Canadian Broadcasting Corp radio host – Barbara Budd. During long trim sessions the legacy trimming team often listened to her show, As it Happens. While Barbara Budd isn’t a known cannabis consumer, she was supportive of the fight for access to medical marijuana and various constitutional challenges on behalf of patients’ rights, including the successful Charter challenge that brought Mat and Kirk together.
